I. Website Resources:
Consumer Labs - This is similar to Consumer Reports magazine. They analyze the chemical makeup and
bio-availability of different brands of supplements. They take no advertising or payments and, I believe, are
unbiased. They can't cover all brands, of course, but do a very good job with those that they do cover.
They give a limited free look at their site. (Consumerlab)
EWG - Enviromental Working Group has some good research information, especially "Skin Deep" for skin
product such as sunscreens. (EWG)
Sunglasses and Glases - Eyeglass Retailer Reviews & Information does an excellent job of giving
unbiased review of online eyeglass sellers. (Eyeglasses)
Sweet Poisen - This is a website that does an excellent job of exposing artifical sweetners.
II. Books:
Natural Health Bible - An A-Z guide to over 200 herbs, vitamins and supplements, by Bratman....
This finds a good balance of science and natural healing. It might even be a little too conservative and not

Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats - An A-Z guide to over 200 Conditions..., by Messonnier.
I love animals but find a limit of how for to go with them. However, for some there is no limit. If so, this
is an excellent foundational book to have. (Amazon)
Miracle Cures - Jean Carper. This book covers over 20 common illnesses and natural cures for them. She
does an excellent job of giving solid referances to support them. A must have. (Amazon)
The Coconut Oil Miracle - Fife. Everyone should be aware of this miracle food! Excellent coverage and
a splended explanation of fats. (Amazon)
Health, Harm or Rip-off? - Cooperman. This is a 2-vol. summary of more than 800 products examined by
Consumer Lab website (above). It makes it much easier to go through the material if their approach
Sweet Poisen - Hull. This book, and it's companion, "Splenda: Is It Safe Or Not?", are well documented
sources of information for asparte and splenda toxins that can cause many serious illnesses
Splenda: Is It Safe Or Not? - Hull. This is the Splenda version of "Sweet Poison". (Amazon)
