Inflammation – Its Good Side and Dark Side!
Normally, inflammation is a healthy immune response to injury, illness, or infection. Inflammation brings isolates, marks and consumes bad bacteria and cells. However, when healing is complete,
The process should shut down!
But sometimes it doesn't. When inflammation fires and flare-ups burn out of control, trouble follows that can harm the rest of your body! It can actually start destroying good cells in your joint linings, arteries, organs and other body parts!
Lowering chronic inflammation is one of the most important things you can do for overall health. Long term health problems caused by chronic inflammation can do damage for years. Then, you start feeling joint aches, muscle tenderness, swelling, and other symptoms (that people often put off to aging).
Even worse, as inflammation slowly breaks down tissue, it can become a root cause of many of the diseases listed above.
We often think those diseases just “happened”.
In reality, one major cause is that healthy body cells have been destroyed over years! It makes sense – and more doctors and researchers agree – that, if you extinguish excessive inflammation, you can keep your joints flexible and ache-free and your organs and overall health much better!
How to Cool Down Inflammation Quickly and Naturally
Well, there are the standard generic recommendations:
1. You probably know that not smoking, drinking in moderation, avoiding sugars and processed food are good choices. These are like throwing gasoline on inflammatory fires. Eat more yogurt, fish and green leafy vegetables are "cooling foods" that help produce natural anti-inflammatory actions.
2. Stress and lack of sleep and exercise can contribute to inflammation flare-ups too. So, “relaxing”, getting enough rest and a little of exercise are good things! Good things - but requiring substantial effort!
3. Take NSAIDs drugs – with all their considerably bad side effects!
(There is a Quicker & Easier Way...)
- Use What Nature has Provided for Us! -
Lifestyle changes are good but they can take considerable time to change. The quickest and easiest way to get a jump start is to simply use what nature has already provided for us! There are many clinical studies (many on our site) showing herbs and nutrients that have tremendous ability to lower inflammation!
People tell us they have tried many things and still have pain and problems. That is why we have designed the best natural Anti-Inflammation supplement for you. Chronic Inflammation Relief is an herbal blend that shuts down inflammation at its source. It is also much safer and kinder to your body than conventional drugs and faster than other pain and inflammation supplements.
Don’t Reinvent the Wheel, But…
Most people visiting our site find that we do not “re-invent the wheel”. When we find good products at decent prices, we simply refer people to them in our “Additional Supplements” section. It is only when we can’t find a good formula that we design our own.
Unfortunately, most inflammation supplements only contain a few "cooling" herbs. Larger blends aren't in the potencies and levels needed to be most effective. They often use a "window dressing" approach (adding ingredients with such small quantities that it's little more than “window dressing” on the product label.
For example, one formula lists 50 mg of ginger. Yes, ginger is very good - but not in that tiny amount! Plus, none of them contain the blend of some lesser known herbs – that have strong clinical support! These are essential if you want genuine relief!
The Ingredients: (that You Will Come to Love)
We will give you a brief outline of our ingredients here. However, many people enjoy reading more about the nutrients that are bringing them such blessed relief. For those people, there is more detailed information, including clinical references Here. The ingredients (in alphabetical order):
Berberine (75 mg, Chinese Goldthread)
Berberine is found in several plants including European barberry, goldenseal, goldthread and several others. Our interest here is for its anti-inflammatory ability – especially with pulmonary inflammation, a characteristic of many lung diseases. Not only does berberine inhibit COX-2, another nice thing is that it works very rapidly (as opposed to the great, but slower, action of some others_.
Boswellia (337 mg, 65% boswellic acid)
Boswellia (known as frankincense in the Bible) is a natural anti-inflammatory that is widely used to reduce the inflammation associated with arthritis. Its boswellic acids are great COX-2 inhibitors and are effective against digestive disorders like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative Colitis - without gastric upset - and Inflammatory Bowel disease.
N. Kimmatkar and colleagues published a study in 2003 in which patients with Osteoarthritis were reduced cells that promote inflammation while simultaneously increasing cells that suppress inflammation.
Bromelain (300 mg.)
Bromelain is an extract of pineapples proven as a complementary treatment for Sinus and Nasal inflammation and swelling after ear, nose and throat surgery. What's more, the enzyme may promote healing in muscles and connective tissues. Bromelain is quite useful postoperatively as an agent to speed healing and reduce Postsurgical pain and swelling.
Bromelain has the proven ability to suppress the inflammation and pain of Rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis, sports injuries, and other joint inflammatory conditions.
Celery Seed (45 mg.)
This is one of those lesser known but remarkable new discoveries for taming inflammation. It is an essential part of an herbal blend to give the best inflammation relief! In one Australian study of patients with long-term joint discomfort, celery seed helped reduce tenderness and improve flexibility in a remarkable 68% of patients. Some people said the compound helped eliminate their pain completely!
Celery seed is an abundant source of a compound called 3-n-butylphthalide (3-n-B). It's the ingredient that gives celery its characteristic flavor and odor. Research shows that 3-n-B can quickly reduce the destructive action of COX-1, COX-2, and the elusive 5-LOX enzyme. These are the three biggest contributors to inflammatory response in your body.
Perhaps we can say a little more about these “triggers”. Unhealthy inflammatory response is usually caused by the overproduction of certain "trigger enzymes" in the body. You've probably heard about COX-1 and COX-2. When these enzymes build up, they cause swelling and discomfort, especially in the joints.
While COX inhibitors provide some relief against inflammation, many people find there is little or no relief at all. Why? Because a third inflammatory enzyme, 5-LOX, is unaffected by COX-inhibiting remedies. That is why we have designed our ‘state-of-the-art’ formula that adds celery seed with our other super nutrients known to tame inflammation.
Curcumin (from Tumeric, 375 mg, 18% curcuminoids).
Turmeric accounts for the yellow color of curry powder and American mustard and has a distinctive sharp flavor. It is actually the curcumin, the yellow pigment of turmeric, that is even more potent in acute inflammation. Curcumin displays anti-inflammatory properties similar to that of ibuprofen. However, it is much more effective than ibuprofen at treating autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis and uveitis - with none of the unpleasant side effects!
Curcumin can help treat autoimmune disorders naturally. A 2007 study published in "Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology" found that the curcumin found in turmeric actually inhibited some autoimmune disorders, slowing their progression. This is a great herb to help decrease pain and swelling associated with autoimmune disorders (and even approved by Commission E in Germany (the German authority on evaluating herbal preparations).
Ginger Extract (375mg, 6% gingerols).
Research has established ginger as an anti-inflammatory and pain reduction for arthritis, muscle aches, and rheumatism. Ginger root is available in many forms - including tea.
It is proven be more effective than the typical NSAIDS such as aspirin. One 2005 study even suggests that ginger could reduce pain and inflammation more effectively than non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. A 1992 study conducted at Odense University in Denmark found a full 75 percent of the participants stated that they experienced "substantial relief" after supplementation.
The active constituents in this regard are gingerols (oleo-resins), which inhibit the cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase enzymes. This helps various arthritic andmuscle inflammation problems, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, andmyalgias.
Green Tea Extract (250 mg, 50% exract).
Did you also know green tea contains a whopping 51 polynutrients that promote healthy inflammatory response? The most important is a compound called EGCG that, according to researchers at the University of Michigan, helps block the production of prostaglandins that trigger joint tenderness.
With green tea, we are interested in glutathione. Glutathione is a natural antioxidant enzyme found in your body and has proven positive results of inflammation reduction and the breakdown of cartilage. Green Tea has been known to enhance the performance of glutathione which ease symptoms for arthritis sufferers.
Quercetin (187 mg.)
Some are surprised at including quercetin. However, blocks the release of histamine and other anti-inflammatory enzymes. This inhibits histamine release and masts cell degranulation blocking support capillary integrity. Quercetin inhibits phospholipase A2 and lipoxygenase enzymes. This causes a inhibition of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins and leukotrienes. These are some of the effects we are looking for.
Rosemary Extract (150 mg, 6% carsonic acid)
Rosemary is approved by the German Commission E and is often used to treat muscle pain and arthritis. We like some of the special effects it has. Studies have found that rosemary lowers cortisol levels and help reduce anxiety (University of Maryland Medical Center).
Rosemary also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that make it useful for reducing the severity of asthma attacks. We particularly like that studies that have shown rosmarinus officinalis to be very active in healing diabetic wounds and provides scientific evidence for the use of this herb in wound treatment.
White Willow Bark Extract (225 mg, 15% salicin)
White Willow Bark (weeping willow) produces salicin, a substance which converts into salicylate and blocks the formation of prostaglandins which triggers arthritis inflammation.
The role of salicylates in inflammation and pain management is well documented and also contains other phenolic glycosides, which are also known to possess anti-inflammatory properties. This herb was found to be as effective as conventional medicine in lessening pain among people with mild to fairly severe knee and hip problems and also alleviates acute back pain.
How Much for How Long?
Remember that basic inflammation is needed by the body to protect us so we don’t want to restrict it entirely. Some people already know they have a chronic inflammation problem and begin taking Chronic Inflammation Relief immediately. The best course of action is to insist that your doctor give you a “hs-CRP” test annually. It is not too expensive (last we checked, about $50 - and many insurances cover it). This test will tell you if you are above acceptable levels.
The American Heart Association and US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have defined risk groups, according to the hs-CRP blood test, as follows:
Low risk: - less than 1.0 mg/L
Average risk: - 1.0 to 3.0 mg/L
High risk: - above 3.0 mg/L
We recommend you discuss the meaning of your test results with your doctor. (For example: people in the high end of the normal range have 1.5 to 4 times the risk of having a heart attack.)
Dosage: (1 Container has 150 Capsules.)
People take from 1-5 capsules a day – though the usual is 2 for a lighter person, 3 for a heavier person (over 160 pounds).
