Additional Supplements

(2-2010)
These are nutritional supplements we recommend for various purposes in our articles.  We always try to find you:

        1. The best quality products.   Poor quality doesn't help anyone - and they can do harm!
        2. The lowest prices.  For the quality supplements above.

Vitacost is usually the first place we look.  We feel they have the best overall prices of most major brands.  Their NSI brand is often one of the best quality-per-dollar choices available.  We receive nothing back from them but your good health.

For some items we have to go to other sources to get the quality or product we recommend.  We never sacrifice quality; we just want it for as little as possible.  Douglas Labs "DL" is one of the best labs around.  Sometimes Amazon or another source is the best choice.

The supplements are alphabetical, with the best source source(s) following.
____________________________________________________________________________________________

Children's Multivitamin / mineral - We will give 3 recommendations since childrens chewables are not much good if they don't like them.  These are #1, #6, and #3 out of 110 rated kids vitamins (half of the top 10 are hard to get).
1. Douglas Labs has the best multi for children (#1 out of 110), "Vita Kids", about $11 per mo.  Up to 10 years old, use the DL's "Vita-Kids",     Age 10 up to switching to our Ultimate Foundation, use the DL "Vita-Big-Kids".
2. The best mid-priced (#6 out of 110),at about $7 a mo. is Life Plus, "Vita-saurus".
3. The best economical but still great (actually #3 out of 110), at about $4 a mo. is Source "Mega-Kid".

Multivitamin / mineral - For Adults, our "Ultimate Foundation

Probiotics - The best I've seen anywhere, 1/day, NSI 15-35, or their much less cost NSI 10-20 - Vitacost     2nd best - DL #7497

Prostrate - I used to recommend an assortment of nutrients, however Vitacost has come up with an extremely good formula in ProstraHeart, NSI 3007578.  The two capsules are for treatment purposes.  Our Ult. Foundation provides a maintenance amount.

Resveratrol - Caps: Country life, 100 mg - Amazon     Liquid: Lifetime #LTV 2290398 - Vitacost  (for extra potency,
uncap and stir in 1/2 bottle of Resveratrol Forte - Vitacost  #ENZ 1003279.)

Sambucol - (Sambucos is Nature's Way version of Sambucol.  Both are good but I prefer Sambucol.)  All work, I like the 4 oz sugar-free bottles (to reduce opened bottles laying around).  The children's dose is 1/2 the adult dose (so cheaper from the adult bottle).  Lozengers are ok, but a bottle is also easy to take with you. - Amazon

Selenium - 200 mg, NSI #3009008 - Vitacost

Vitamin A - 10,000 IU - DL  #7107

Vitamin C - 1,000 mg, NSI #3007806 - Vitacost     Crystals are also convenient, 1.5 mg - DL  #82145

Vitamin D-3 - General: 2,000 IU caps, NSI - Vitacost,     Heavy flu defense: 10,000 IU liquid - DL  #200039

Xclear - Xylitol nasel wash, 1.5 oz - Vitacost

Zinc Lozengers - 10 mg is better if you take more than 1 a day - DL  #ZNL
