     The Ultimate Scalp Defense is Inspired Nutrition’s answer to all dandruff and scalp infections!  It is the only scalp infection product that uses the best of nature's defenses - including the two super-defenses of mother's milk: monolaurin and lactoferrin. 

   We designed it after our very popular Skin Defense - and added extra essential oils!  The Skin defense was for people who had or were required to work around MRSA staph infections, so it had to work!  These bacterial infections are very serious and resistant to most antibiotics.  It was so successful for MRSA that people quickly figured out it could handle any skin infection - including scalp infection problems!

Commercial vs Natural Antiseptics

   The difficulty with most anti-bacterials is that they use benzoyl peroxide, alcohol, benzalkonium chloride, triclosin (a poison banned in parts of Europe) or a number of other chemicals.  We have made our Scalp Defense with natural antibiotics without chemical antibiotics! 

   For antibiotic and antifungal action, we use Monolaurin and Lactoferrin.  These are the two best and most effective natural anti-pathogens in existence.  They are found in the greatest percentage in mother's milk to protect new born infants.  They are so effective that the FDA even approves them for many anti-bacterial functions.  They are especially effective for skin infection because they leave a light coat on your skin, retaining anti-bacterial effects after application!

   We also use Phospholipids & "MonoCaprin Plus" (our own private label for an additional monyglycerides spectrum).  These are additional lipid compounds in coconut.  Clinical studies show they also have antibacterial and anti-fungal abilities.  These compliment monolaurin and lactoferrin in offering a fuller range of anti-bacterial skin protection.

   Finally, we use Essential Oils.  The therapeutic grade essential oils we use are the natural oils plants use to defend themselves against bacteria.  These essential oils have also been proven to kill the bad pathogen bacteria in many clinical studies.  They were even once considered the cutting edge in bacterial defense until antibiotics came along.  However, since plants adapt every year to new forms of bacteria, essential oils are now being rediscovered for maintaining their natural antibacterial abilities.  We have been able to develop a blend of 14 bacteria fighting essential oils that are much stronger in our Scalp Defense than other products.
